   Spring 2024: Case Study  This course immerses students in real-world case studies and industry collaborations. They will explore challenging actuarial problems, utilizing state-of-the-art models and analyzing the latest datasets. Inspired by the successes of actuarial science students in the CAS Case Competition, this course provides a unique opportunity to study and gain insights from their achievements.Through hands-on projects and simulations, students will tackle complex actuarial challenges, employing cutting-edge techniques to develop innovative solutions. The course emphasizes effective summarization and presentation of findings to stakeholders, replicating the competition-style format. Additionally, ethical considerations and best practices in actuarial science will be explored, ensuring responsible and unbiased decision-making.
