EDUC 470 - Preschool Practicum
Credits: 1
The course is designed as a practicum experience working with children 3-5 years of age. Students will also attend seminar sessions. The focus of this course is on federal, state, and local legislation, regulations, and professional standards of appropriate programming for preschoolers. An additional focus is placed on actively planning and implementing learning experiences. An emphasis is placed on working with diverse families as they and their children begin the educational process. Teacher candidates will attend practicum during assigned hours unless the program director approves.
