NURS 407 - Transition to Professional Nursing Practice

Credits: 4
This course facilitates the transition from nursing student to professional nursing practice, emphasizing the nurse as a leader within the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Students will explore key principles of management, nursing practice models, and contemporary issues that define the professional nurse’s roles and responsibilities. The course focuses on developing essential leadership skills and requires students’ self-directed learning to enhance NLCEX-RN readiness and prepare for successful integration into the nursing profession.
Corequisite1: NURS 400  (or prior), NURS 401  (or prior), NURS 409  (or prior), NURS 407C
