Actuarial Science, B.S. to M.S. (Early Access)

All Maryville University Actuarial Science students in good standing are eligible for early access to the graduate program in Actuarial Science. This unique option enables the Maryville undergraduate majoring in actuarial science to complete the master’s program in just one additional year. In this accelerated option, four courses (12 credits) taken during the senior year, as part of the undergraduate curriculum, also count toward the master’s degree. Students continue with 24 credits in the fifth year of study to complete the requirements of the master’s degree. Students with 75 undergraduate credits, at least 20 at Maryville University, and GPA 3.25 can apply the early Accelerated Master’s Option. No GRE or TOEFL is required for Maryville students entering the accelerated master’s program.

To attain the designation of Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA), one of the requirements must be fulfilled by completing approved VEE (Validated by Education Experience) courses. As part of the pilot group recognized by the Society of Actuaries, Maryville University offers courses that have been approved by the VEE Administration Committee.
