The Project Management Certificate Offered by the John E. Simon School of Business is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to manage complex projects in a variety of industries. Students will learn leadership and communication skills necessary to lead and motivate teams, as well as the ability to manage project risks, budgets, and resources effectively.
Program Outcomes
Students who complete the Project Management Certificate should be able to:
- Compare and contrast various project management methodologies and techniques and select appropriate methods to complete projects efficiently.
- Lead and communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and sponsors.
- Synthesize skills such as budgeting, risk management, resource allocation and financial management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Explain ethical standards and the importance of professionalism in their interactions with team members, stakeholders, and sponsors.

Additional Information
- All course requirements for this certificate must be completed within two years of enrollment into the certificate program.
- Students who complete multiple certificates can apply up to six credit hours of previously completed coursework toward completion of each certificate.
