Child Life Specialist Certificate

The Child Life Specialist certificate offers students the opportunity to earn the course work needed to prepare for a career as a Child Life Specialist. The certificate is designed for those with an undergraduate degree who aspire to work with children in hospital or clinic settings and want to build their academic credentials in preparation for internship and the certification exam. Students in the certificate program should have a bachelor’s degree or be near completion of a degree (Maryville HDFS majors should choose the Child Life Concentration not the Certificate). Coursework is aligned with the ACLP academic requirements including field experiences.
